Reference 6204... the first Submariner
|

Reference 5508 with chocolate brown bezel & dial. I'm not sure
if these rare brown dials
are caused by fading original black dials, or if these watches came
out of the factory with brown dials & bezels?
Anyway, thanks to our friend in Italy for the picture |

Early reference 5512 -- with a beautiful example of a "Gilt"
dial |

Late model reference 5513 -- notice the white gold trimmed hour
markers
|

Military version 5513 -- much rarer and more valuable than a standard
5513

Reference 1680 -- what a beautiful watch!
|

My favorite vintage Submariner photo (reference 1680)
|

Here is a mid-production-run 5513. Note the absence of the surrounds
on the hour markers while the text is "660 ft = 200m"
|

Beautiful example of a "Red" Submariner
|

Here is an early 5513, as demonstrated by the lack of hour marker
surrounds and the "200m = 660ft" text
(the dials with 200m first are more valuable in the marketplace) Out

Yellow gold reference 1680 -- what a dial!
|

Very early 5513 from the 1960s, illustrating the highly collectable
"guilt dial"
|

This photo is intended to illustrate what a "mint" condition
case should look like:
note the crisp case edges, full-width lugs, and the deep channeling
on the bezel
